Our group is very active, and although I love friends on here. I don't want to receive an email every time a new post has been made. Can I switch this option off please?
In about 6 weeks time the Online Community will be 6 months old, having relaunched from the old forums at the end February. It has been an extraordinary 6 months...
We would like to draw breath and pause to take a look around at where we are and what we might do over the coming 6 months.
This is a very early and informal request to ask you what you think of the Online Community:
- What you like about it
- What could be better
- What would you like to see added or changed (if possible)
- What new things we can do or feature to improve the Community

The system seems to save drafts of posts very frequently. As the pop-up appears to say your draft post is being saved, the "focus" of typing seems to often lose itself and requires the pop-up to be dismissed before you can continue.
As posts get longer (looking at you over in Val's Café!) the pause to get the focus back gets longer until the forum actually appears to freeze for minutes at a time.
Solution
Auto-saving has been disabled! You can now only save a draft of your post if the "Save Draft" button appears next to the "Post" button.
Do be aware that without saving a draft, you may accidently lose the content of a post before publishing it if you move away from the page.
Let me know if there are any problems and what you think of this as a general principle.

We've noticed that a few times when we post our comment it doesn’t look like the comment has been posted and we end up with 2 or more identical posts.
This is not anyone’s fault
please don’t be upset. We will automatically delete any identical posts we come across. There must be a bug in the system. I think it might help if we knew which platform/type of machine you are using at the time of the error.
I'm using an iPad and it happened more than once but not every time I’ve posted. If you could post on this thread if it happens to you too I will pass all our info on Monday
